37 Weeks, 5 Days

This pregnancy was my 6th and I had no idea that it would result in TWINS! It was a complete shock to find out that we would have not only our 6th child but also our 7th. We had 5 boys aleady so I was praying that at least one baby was a girl, and the Lord blessed us with two girls!! The girls and I did great throughout the pregnancy and we all had no problems. About 35 weeks, I developed carpal tunnel and it was so bad that I had to sleep sitting up on the couch every night and I also has some major swelling in my feet, ankles, and legs. Thankfully both went away within a week after delivery. The doctors said we needed to get to 36 weeks, so from the beginning that was my goal. Little did I know that I would be begging to be induced at 38 weeks! I was determined to have a vaginal delivery but it was always up in the air because twin B was transverse the whole time. Since twin A was head down they were willing to let me try. Induction day was May 24, 2012 (the day before my birthday!) and I was so excited to meet my girls and NOT be pregnant anymore. Everything went very smoothly and I vaginally delivered twin A, Randi Lyn, just 5 hours after being induced but her sister did not cooperate with us and would not turn and she also started to get distressed, so they did an emergency c-section to get her out. Little miss Elli Kay was born 45 minutes after her sister. Randi was 6#14oz and Elli was 5#9oz and both were just perfect. They did great and got to stay with us the whole time. We all went home 3 days later and life is great. The girls are 10 weeks old now and we're completely in love with them. We are so blessed!!

Congrats on the twins. Mine are now 4 months and 6 days. Our baby #3 turned out to be 3 & 4.I had a boy/girl set that were delivered at 36 weeks 1 day. Baby A (Eli) was head down and he weighed 6 lbs 2 oz and baby B (Ella) was head down and 5 lbs 7 oz. I was fortunate enough to deliver both of the babies vaginally and only 7 minuets apart.
