Low Placenta related issues for IVF Twin pregnancy

by Chaitanya Prabhu
(Mumbai, India)

Dear Moms / Dads for twins,

We have completed 13 weeks of the journey involving IVF conceived Twins! God's grace - Touch wood!

Though we had a relatively issue less first trimester,we had an issue of bleeding and spotting for 3 days after the 12th week.

Though my wife was administered the Progestron injections which helped stop the spotting, the doctors attributed the core reason to a low placenta.

Request your advice / guidance based on your experiences of low placenta involving twin pregnancies.
Also if possible, seek your opinion on the Dos' & Donts'.

Cheers,
Chaitanya.

Do's and Don'ts
by: Charlene

Does the placenta cover the cervix in any part? The only things you can do are:

Avoid strenuous activities and no carrying heavy objects.

Rest often

And go to your doctor if any bleeding starts.

Sometimes the placenta will move up some as the weeks go by.

I hope all is well and I wish all the best with your twin pregnancy.
