My identical twin girls were born at 34 weeks 5 days. On December 5, 2011, we went into the doctor with the knowing that he would possibly take them that day, depending on the smaller baby's weight gain. She fell below the 10th percentile therefore he wanted to get them out. That day, at 2:12, my first baby, Ella, was born via c-section (they were both breech) and then at 2:13, little Emily came along. They both had to be on a CPAP machine, and Ella did end up being incubated for a couple hours, but aside from that and the feeding tubes, they were doing wonderful. Then on December 19, we got news that Ella was able to be released home from the NICU, but Emily had to stay a few more days. Then, finally, on December 23, both girls were able to come home. Just in time for Christmas.
